My life has mostly been revolving around work rather than art. My artistic Muse was missing for a long while.
But I must admit that things are starting to look up since I started participating in craft swaps. This has given me a wonderful boost in creativity as I need to open my eyes as I create things.
Work is by far more time consuming though of late than art. Yet I think there's a huge possibility that I may be letting art have a bit more time in the near future. (with summer coming I'm going to be working int he mornings instead of evenings, it will wreak havoc on my schedule, but meh c'est la vie. I will just have to accept the afternoons as payment for the inconvenience of having to be up in the morning.
And what shall I do in the afternoons? Maybe paint and draw some since I haven't been doing that much. I'll also be working on jewelry again, although not all of it is what I'd consider quality. The other night I stayed up until almost 2 am working on what I call "rubbish" jewelry. It's fun to make, but it hasn't got any weight to it, and it's nothing but plastic... but I've been finding that even the plastic stuff has it's crowd. But that doesn't make it my favorite style to work on. Far from it in fact. My girlfriends have been waiting for me to get my head clear, and it's finally happening.
I've got nothing to lose anymore, so I may as well do what I love when I can, even if I still have to do things that make me feel miserable the rest of the time. I just wish I could feel happier most of the time.
